The P-40 Warhawk will be always rembered as the Flying Tiger from the Second World War. A famous squadron with this name flew the P-40 in the Burma-China theatre of the war. Fighting against the Japanse Imperial Air Force. The Warhawk was also used by the Burma Banshees, a squadron stationed in the foothils of the Himalayas protecting the so-called 'Hump'. This was the nickname for the trans-Himalaya flight which was mainly done by cargo planes, who were in turn protected by P-40s from harassing Japanese fighters. This model kit by Guillow's let's you built a balsa model of this great plane. The kit provides everything to make it into a display model or even a elastic engine (postal elastic!) flying plane. If you want to cover the frame you have built, you will only need to purchse a varnish to cover the provided tissue cloth with. This kit is of course a nostalgic piece but it will surely offer you a few hours away from the everyday (or holiday!) stress.
